Straight answer

Weight Drives the Price

The most common question, answered as honestly as it can be without seeing your idea.

Send a reference, a rough idea, or a photograph. We will tell you honestly whether it will cast well.

The three components

Every commission is metal plus work, and one of those two moves daily.

  • Silver weight — the largest component on most pieces, and priced against the live market.
  • Sculpting — a person building your piece digitally, which is time.
  • Casting and hand-finishing — also a person, also time.

Why we do not publish a price list

Because the silver price moves every day, and a printed figure would be wrong within the week. Any custom maker showing you a fixed price for a solid silver piece is either updating it constantly or quoting you a stale number.

Tell us roughly the size and the subject and you will get a real range quickly.

How to control it

Size is the lever. A piece half the height is far less than half the weight, and weight is where the money is. Complexity affects the sculpting time rather than the metal, so an intricate small piece is usually cheaper than a simple large one.

If there is a budget, say it at the brief. We will tell you what is achievable within it rather than quoting something you did not want to spend.

FAQ

Common questions

Roughly how much?
It depends on size more than anything. Tell us the subject and rough dimensions and you will get a range quickly.
Why no price list?
The silver price moves daily. A published figure would be wrong within the week.
What makes it cheaper?
Smaller. Weight is the main driver, and it falls faster than height does.
Should I tell you my budget?
Yes. We will tell you what is achievable rather than quote past it.
