How it works · The Buy-Back
Stage Five — You Are Never Stuck With It
Because you own a solid silver object, you can sell it back to us at any time at 95–98% of the current silver spot price for its metal weight.
Send a reference, a rough idea, or a photograph. We will tell you honestly whether it will cast well.

What this is and is not
It is a standing metal-value buy-back, not a refund of what you paid. The difference matters: you paid for design, sculpting, casting and handwork as well as for silver, and the buy-back recognizes the metal. It is a floor under the object, not a return policy.
How it works
- 95–98% of current silver spot for the metal weight.
- Standing offer, at any time, not a limited window.
- Based on live pricing, so the number moves with the market.
- Entirely separate from returns, which are not offered on made-to-order work.
- You are never obliged to take it.
Why the offer exists and what it is not
The buy-back exists because solid silver has a floor that resin, bronze and print do not. The piece contains a real quantity of a traded metal, and that quantity does not stop being worth something because tastes change or circumstances do. Being able to say that plainly is one of the honest advantages of working in silver rather than in a material with no residual value at all.
Be clear about what it is not. It is not an investment product and we would not present it as one — the commission includes design, sculpting, casting and hand finishing, and that labor is not recoverable in metal. What the offer provides is a floor, not a return. Anyone buying a commissioned piece expecting to profit from the metal should buy bullion instead, and we would tell them so.
How we handle it
- 01Weigh the piece and calculate against live spot.
- 02Show you the arithmetic.
- 03Pay at the counter or arrange it remotely.
- 04No obligation at any point.
We mention this on a page about buying because it is genuinely reassuring and because it is honest about what the object is. A piece of art made of silver has a floor under it that a piece of art made of resin does not.
Said plainly
Where we stop
This is not an investment and we will not imply it is. The buy-back tracks the silver price, which moves in both directions, and nothing here should be read as suggesting the piece will appreciate.
FAQ
Common questions
- Do I get what I paid back?
- No. It is a metal-value buy-back, not a refund. You paid for design and handwork as well as silver.
- Is there a time limit?
- No. It is a standing offer.
- Is this an investment then?
- No, and we will not describe it as one. It is art with a metal floor under it.
- Can I sell it elsewhere?
- Of course. It is yours, and it is solid .999 silver with a certificate.
Commissions
Pets
By a distance the most commissioned thing we make, and usually the one that means the most. Often it is a memorial, which changes how carefully we handle every part of it.

Mascots & Logos
Companies commission these for milestones, retirements and the kind of award nobody throws away. A solid silver version of your own mascot is difficult to put in a drawer.
Explore →
Cars & Vehicles
Not a generic model of that make. Your actual car, with your plate, your wheels and the modification you spent a summer arguing with.

Characters & Original Art
People ask us for characters constantly. Here is exactly what we do, and what we do not, without the vagueness this subject usually attracts.
Explore →
Buildings & Places
A first house, a family business, a church, a stadium, a boat house. Architecture casts unusually well because it is mostly flat planes and hard edges.
Explore →
Hands & Impressions
Almost always for a new baby, and sometimes for a memorial. Either way the appeal is exactness — this is the hand at the size it actually was, in a metal that does not change.

More how it works
The Brief
Send a photograph, a reference, or a description. This stage costs nothing and it is where we tell you the truth about what is possible.
Explore →
The Sculpt
We build it digitally first and show it to you. Nothing is cast until you have seen it and said yes.
Explore →
Casting & Finishing
The sculpt becomes a mould, the mould becomes metal, and then a person finishes it by hand. That last part is why no two castings are identical.
